The R&R Clamp Stacking system was born from the ideas of two skilled tradesmen from differing backgrounds. A woodworker and a machinist were talking about their respective trades when the topic of workspace came up. The woodworker went on to talk about how his entire workshop space was used up with all of the machinery necessary to complete the various stages of woodworking projects, and near the end of a project, when it was time to glue up all of the beautiful component parts he just spent hours or days making, there was no room to set all of the glued pieces to dry.

A few more discussions ensued, and after a few napkin sketches, the R&R Clamp system was born. What is available today is a third generation of that very first prototype. Many innovations were added during the first few prototypes to make this the most versatile, easiest to use, stand alone clamping system available. A wonderful side effect to this system is the ease of use, not only in its revolutionary stacking ability, but in how the clamps are tightened. A simple cordless drill/screw gun, with its torque setting low, provides a perfect mechanical advantage over hand tightening clamp after clamp. This feature also allows effortless adjustment of the clamp from one job to another (we all know that if you have a small job today, you will have a large job tomorrow). An additional benefit to this method of adjusting is that it make the clamp easy to use for people with ailments such as arthritis.

The clamping system is easy to set up, and requires only a space large enough to clamp just the largest component of your project. The rest of the components simply stack right on top of one another, saving space, time, and constant bending over to place glued components all over your shop.
